Meet Your Designer
Before a Designer ever walks through your door, they go through one of the most extensive training programs around. That includes classroom training as well as “shadowing” more experienced Designers for weeks on end. Everything it takes to provide an unsurpassed level of comfort and confidence as they create a storage portrait of their clients with an acute eye for detail and the finest materials.
They’ll assess your needs at every level, take a detailed inventory of every item to be stored, and present a range of solutions. From initial consultation to final installation, your Designer will be there to absorb and manifest your vision.
Assessing Needs and Desires
The process begins with an initial in-home presentation and needs assessment by your experienced and professionally trained design expert. While the presentation will enlighten and educate you about our work and custom closet solutions, the needs assessment helps ensure that your closet is built around you.
Your Designer will want to know how important this space is to each person who uses it, as well as functional needs, like who gets dressed first or who prefers which side of the closet. They’ll make a complete list of your inventory, measuring and surveying every inch of both your existing space and the items to be stored. And of course, there’s a question-and-answer process to ensure no current or future storage needs have been overlooked.
Create Custom Solutions
After every wood grain, door panel, and trim piece has been carefully selected to meet your needs and tastes, the Designer specifies the manufacturing plans. Remember, everything at Southern Closet Systems is built to match the specific measurements and even more specific form and function of your closet. Everyone at Southern Closet Systems, from the designer to the production team to the installer, is intimately involved in the creation and realization of your dream.
Since all manufacturing and most finishing are done in our factory, installation takes from 1 to just a few days. This also means there’s not a lot of cutting, sanding, or other messy construction going on in your home. It goes without saying that our Installers always give the utmost consideration to you, your family, and your home. The entire Southern Closet Systems team is never more than a phone call away to handle any last-minute questions.
