One of the indicators that a company is legitimate and can be trusted for professional work is to look for an A+ Accredited Business rating from the Better Business Bureau. There’s a custom review rating that helps create a BBB rating.
The Better Business Bureau
The Better Business Bureau is an organized nonprofit corporation financed by membership dues or subscriptions paid by responsible business and professional firms in the community. Reputable firms are solicited for membership to maintain and expand services provided by the BBB.
BBB Accredited Businesses must meet certain standards to qualify for accreditation and to remain accredited. You can search on their website for BBB Accredited Businesses by location and/or industry.
For more than 100 years, the Better Business Bureau has been helping people find businesses, brands, and charities they can trust. In 2016, people turned to BBB more than 167 million times for BBB Business Profiles on more than 5.2 million businesses, and Charity Reports on 11,000 charities, all available for free at bbb.org.
The Council of Better Business Bureaus is the umbrella organization for the local, independent BBBs in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and is also home to its national and international programs on dispute resolution, advertising review, and industry self-regulation.
